The FM Capital Partners bespoke Financial Education Training Program is a full time, academically rigorous finance course, designed in house and lasting three years. The program started with its first year cohort in early 2010 and classes take place daily at our offices in Knightsbridge.

The Program facilitates the transfer of a considerable knowledge base in finance, equipping the participants with the skills to operate independently at a world class level in the asset management industry.

The concepts, tools and practical techniques that are being imparted over the duration of the Program enable the participants to steadily grow in their professional skills and to operate on a best practice level in a variety of specialised roles in asset management such as:

  • Portfolio management
  • Trading
  • Risk management
  • Investment research.

 

The program format has been devised to mix coherently five types of learning:

  • Morning classes delivering taught theory
  • Afternoon workshops applying in practice the theory
  • Independent research and presentation work by students
  • Online learning on FM Capital Partners' own ELearning Portal
  • On the job training

Picture Education

Participants to the FMCP Finance Education Program will therefore acquire a sound, comprehensive and enduring knowledge of both the theoretical concepts that underpin modern finance and the practical applications in asset management. In practice participants will gain expertise in a range of specialised areas such as the management of equity, bond and alternative asset portfolios, cash and derivatives trading, financial engineering and hedging techniques and firm wide risk management.
